Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in a car in Sonoma early Sunday morning.
Sheriff’s deputies stopped a motorist around 2:30 a.m. at Verano Avenue and Riverside Drive, near Maxwell Farms Regional Park, on suspicion of drunken driving, Sonoma County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Thompson said.

A Major County jury convicted former Custer County Sheriff Mike Burgess on 13 felonies, including five counts of second-degree rape and three counts of bribery by a public official. Mayor Gary Becker has been arrested on multiple felony charges related to attempted sexual assault of a child and having child pornography, according to a state agency.
