Kingston man admits raping 13-year-old

A registered sex offender from Kingston has pleaded guilty to raping a 13-year-old girl, the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.

Jerome Fischer, 27, formerly of 81 Cedar St., pleaded guilty Tuesday in Ulster County Court before County Judge J. Michael Bruhn to charges of felony rape and violating the conditions of his probation.

Fischer was arrested Dec. 22, 2008, by Kingston police on charges he supplied the 13-year-old victim with liquor and beer during the evening of Dec. 21 until she became unconscious, according to a press release from the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office. Boy, 13, gets probation in sexual assault case

The sexual assault on a 10-year-old girl by four boys in a Halifax park last April was described Friday by the Crown as “a bullying incident that got out of hand and went to another level.”

In Halifax youth court Friday, one of the boys, who turned 13 last month, was sentenced to one year on probation for his role in the attack, which left the girl traumatized, afraid of boys and even fearful of her own father and eight-year-old brother.
